Ground Cherry - Peruvian, also known as a Cape Gooseberry or Uchuva (Pint)

Alex's favorite thing at the farm. These perfectly packaged little balls of sunshine are tropical, slighly sour, slightly sweet, and all around the best fall treat. Although Alex plucks them off the vines early and snacks on them all season they are always at their peak in the fall. 

Native to Chile and Peru, these members of the nightshade family feel right at home in our milder coastal climates and our plants this year are close to 6 feet tall. This is a plant with rich cultivation history and can now be found in temperate and tropical regions around the world!
